Dear Oliver & Helen

Just a few lines to let you know that Jack passed away on Dec 19^th, he caught a very bad chest cold which was all over the ward even the staff got it,  & that was when it took him. He died very peacefully.  I was thankful for that, lately he had not been able to talk or hear, it was due to hardening of the arteries so he had really nothing to live for.  He was 93 so had had a long

Life & I feel a happy one, although we had to work hard but we enjoyed life.  It is always a blow no matter how much one expects it, but I am happy for him to be at peace.
